Plato on America

I was reading through some quotes by Plato and found one that I really like:
"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors."

ooh - that's a good one. What are you going to do about it?

I find that excessive complaining with an attitude that you are going to do nothing about it tends to be the best approach. That way you drive everyone around you to suicide because they can't stand your complaining anymore.

Imagine Plato returning to our time, and talking to a US president! How could such conversation sound like is found in "The Return of Plato" http://www.vukovic.ws/excerpt.htm
